The band RAISE A SUILEN, a next-generation girls band project BanG Dream! (バンドリ!) where characters and real live are linked. They invited Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, whom they publicly acknowledge was influenced by their own live performances, as a guest and held 「RAISE A SUILEN SPECIAL LIVE「Repaint」」at Zepp DiverCity(TOKYO).

Each had an hour of time. The energy of both, which condensed heat and mutual respect, easily blew away the coldness of Odaiba in the middle of winter.

A grand opening movie with an SF worldview plays. BanG Dream! fans warmly welcome Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas with enthusiastic clapping, but So (Clean Vo) and Minami (Vo/Key), fully spirited, further stoke the clapping. After So raises his voice saying 「知っている人も、知らない人も、一緒に楽しんでいこうぜ！」, they drop the first song 「Return to Zero」. The solid and brilliant sound that Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas produces forcibly secretes adrenaline in both those who know them and those who don't. Inspired by their unique Pararapa-style choreography, many audience members start dancing. They so transformed Zepp DiverCity (TOKYO) into their own that people forgot RAISE A SUILEN was the organizer.

「RASさんにイベントに呼んでいただきましてめちゃくちゃ嬉しいです、ありがとうございます！この前、RASさんのライブを生で観させてもらったんですけど、バッチバチカッコ良かったし、お客さんのパワーも熱気も、テンション感も一体感も凄くてビックリしたんですよ。だからね、今日は「ここにいるみんなの本気を見れるまで帰れまテン」でやらせていただきたいと思うので、思いっきり来いよ！」So said with gratitude and determination, moving into 「Thunderclap」. Tomonori's drumming was full of spirit, creating rhythms that were technically versatile; Taiki's guitar had a driving feel; Tetsuya's bass snapped everything tight with slapping technique. So's rhythmic singing with a vocoder effect, combined with Minami's evil screams. Just as expected from the band that RAISE A SUILEN, who proclaim themselves 「最強」, respects, the performance was awe-inspiring from every angle. What followed was 「Keep the Heat and Fire Yourself Up」, a cover that became a topic of discussion among BanG Dream! fans when RAISE A SUILEN performed it. The floor erupted in headbanging and jumping—an incredibly energetic live performance.

So says 「みんなから飛んでくるパワーがホンマに凄いです。流石にRASのお客さんやなって感じです。みんな、そのサイリュームを俺らのときも振ってくれたら嬉しいなって。みんな、バンバン振ってくれますか？」 In response, the BanG Dream! fans create a sea of red light. This is a scene that can rarely be seen at Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas's usual live performances.

Las Vegas continued attacking with relentless sound pressure. 「機会があったら今度は俺らのイベントにRASさんをお呼びできたら嬉しいなと思っているので、よろしくお願いします！」 So says, heading into the final spurt. The last songs are 「Virtue and Vice」 and 「Massive Core」, where they dance wildly as one with the audience, greatly demonstrating the presence of Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas as a band before leaving the stage. By the end, they had performed 13 songs.

In response to Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas like that, RAISE A SUILEN challenged their own limits and staked their performance with a setlist like breaking out of their shell. Towards the floor where colorful glow sticks shine, they open with 「SOUL SOLDIER」 led by Riko Ohara's (Rock/Gt) guitar riff. Without a moment's pause, they transition into 「OUTSIDER RODEO」 where Natsume (Masking/Dr) runs wild with high-speed twin pedals, then 「A DECLARATION OF ××」 where they repeat the chant 「RAISE YOUR HANDS, NOW!」 further heating up the venue, and 「HELL! or HELL?」 showcased by Risa Tsumugi's (Tutu/DJ) DJ play—performances in succession. They attack with a fierce rush as if ignoring pacing. Furthermore, they play a cover of Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas's 「Just Awake」 which is making its debut today. Reiho Kurachi (Pareo/Key) plays emotional tones on the keyboard, Risa Tsumugi adds RAISE A SUILEN-like flavor with rap, and Raychell (Rayer/Ba/Vo) displays her inherent powerful high-tone voice. Before you know it, five consecutive songs have been performed without any MC. You can feel that they're challenging this collaboration with Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas with considerable determination and spirit.

Rayschell says "Are you all having fun!? Do you have the resolve to make a sacrifice!?" while stirring them up, and also says "Once again, please give Vegas, who performed, a big round of applause," expressing gratitude to Las Vegas together with the fans. Members touched on the Las Vegas stage, and Kurachi Reiho, regarding whom Tsumuragi Risa said "went crazy backstage," spoke happily saying "Vegas moving so freely was really cool, and the stage we're standing on now is the stage where Vegas was just moments ago—it's quite moving to think about." Natsume said without hiding her excitement "I've been to Vegas' live concert before, and since then I've been curious about how the drums are set up. But today I got to watch both the rehearsal and the main performance from the wings, and it was amazing. Respect!" Kohara Riko, for whom this day was her first live of the year, said "Being able to collaborate at my first live of the year is a really wonderful memory, I think. I think 2022 is also getting off to a great start."

And from here, "Repaint," a song provided by Las Vegas and also the title of this live event, is released to the world for the first time. "Most of the world might be made up of assumptions and misunderstandings, but we should repaint those misunderstandings, and if we find something we believe in, we should believe in it to the very end." This song contains such meaning. The song structure with increasingly developed highlights is probably unique to Las Vegas' provision. With lyrics entirely in English and being a technical high-speed rock number, the difficulty of performance is considerable, but the RAS members pulled it off beautifully. What was nice was that Kurachi Reiho, who has especially strong respect for Las Vegas, also had a solo singing part. During the live performance, Parapara was also incorporated, expressing respect for Las Vegas while dancing. During this performance, an animation MV of the same song was also projected, and the visuals expressing RAS's strength and grand scale were really cool.

Following a medley of RAS song remixes, the 9th single's title track "CORUSCATE -DNA-" was also live premiered with a performance matched to the MV. As Rayschell's beautiful vibrato echoed through the venue, the live event entered its final stages. After stirring up hand claps, Tsumuragi asked "For the next song, will you dance with us?" before revealing "灼熱 Bonfire!" Tsumuragi Risa set the example, and the venue united in dance, raising the temperature of the floor even higher. After each member created their moment as soloists, Rayschell shouted "Haven't you had enough wild time? If you keep going like this, I'll put you on the mobile suits outside and blast you off into space!" urging everyone toward the climax. Connecting from "!NVADE SHOW!" to "EXPOSE 'Burn out!!!," achieving complete combustion, the live event closed its curtain.

To have been present on this day, at this place—there's a desire to brag about it to someone. It was such a special, intensely hot night.
