Masashi Hamaugou (Composer)

Born in Munich, Germany in 1971. Graduated from the Vocal Performance Department, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.

He has provided music for numerous games, anime, theatrical films, commercials, and various other media, and has also released many chamber music, orchestral works, and contemporary music compositions. He is active both domestically and internationally. His works are performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (Sweden), the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (United Kingdom), the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra (Germany), and orchestras around the world. Through the music unit「IMERUAT」in which he participates and produces, in addition to music composition, he also handles photography, music videos, artwork, scripts, and more. The music videos he directed have won top awards and been selected at numerous film festivals.

This song that begins with「タライとトレイって似てるね」is based on a quotation from an essay by physicist Terada Torahiko, whom I deeply respect, titled「比較言語学の統計的研究法の可能性について」. In a way, it's a song about「陰謀論の萌芽のようなものを恐れること」. I really want people to read「比較言語学〜」. ROSE portrays the foolish person who becomes flustered and says「これはきっと何かあるに違いない！」when just a few conditions happen to overlap among countless facts.
